Resumen
Se describe el caso de una paciente de 36 años de edad, con antecedente de obstrucción nasal derecha de tres años de evolución, lentamente progresiva, con cuadros de rinorrea amarillenta y epistaxis escasa intermitente. se describen las características clínicas, datos de la exploración física, estudios de gabinete, paraclínicos y su tratamiento médico-quirúrgico. se realizó búsqueda en la bibliografía indexada y en la bibliografía nacional no indexada en español e inglés. la mayor parte de estos tumores se comportan como benignos, pero hay casos que recidivan localmente y otros que se comportan como sarcomas de tejidos blandos. el tratamiento es quirúrgico, existen reportes de uso de radioterapia posquirúrgica y embolización preoperatoria, lo cual está en controversia. Abstract
This paper reports the case of a 36-year-old feminine patient, with history of nasal right obstruction of three years of evolution, slowly progressive, with yellowish rhinorrea and scanty intermittent epistaxis. there are described the clinical characteristics, information of the physical exploration, clinical data and medical-surgical managing. We searched in the indexed literature and in the not indexed national literature in spanish and english. Most of these tumors behave like benign, but there are cases that have local relapses and others that behave as sarcomas of soft tissues. the treatment is surgical; there are reports of use of postsurgical radiotherapy and preoperatory embolization, which is in controversy.
